DETERMINATION OF THE SEPARATION FACTOR FOR ISOTOPE EXCHANGE REACTION BETWEEN CO_2 AND H_2O AT 25℃

    • The separation factor of oxygen-18 for isotope exchange reaction between CO2 and H2O at 25℃ was determined to be α = 1.0411±0.0002. The value agrees with that obtained by S. Epstein within experimental error.A set of standard samples was used to calibrate the mass spectrometer. The bias correction K for our mass sepectrometer MAT-CH5 was found to be 1.012±0.001.
